Oscar is a highly experienced and respected actor on stage and screen.  Born in Trinidad he has a sound grasp of Caribbean accents, not to mention his RP and African deliveries.

On stage he was in
The Merchant Of Venice (Royal National Theatre - also on film), Darker Face Of The Earth (Royal National Theatre), Troilus & Cressida (Royal National Theatre) and Proposals (Yorkshire Playhouse).  Other credits include Coriolanus and Julius Caesar with the RSC, and he starred in Gloo Joo (Hampstead and Criterion Theatres) earning him a nomination as Best Comedy Actor at London's S.W.E.T. Awards (and later filmed for TV under the title Meadowlark).  In addition he performed in Mice And Men (Old Vic), and played Baygee in Kwame kwei-Armah' Elmina' Kitchen (the National Theatre, and air on BBC4).

On TV he' played hundreds of roles including Tony Carpenter in EastEnders for the first three years of the series, and others on Doctors, Loved By You, Casualty, Tales Of The Unexpected, London's Burning, The Bill, Surgical Spirit, Dream Team, Minder, Shoestring, The Professionals, The Final Passage, Lovejoy, and playing an Idi Amin look-alike opposite Kid Creole in There's Something Wrong In Paradise.  On the big screen he was in The Comedians with Richard Burton and Liz Taylor, Gumshoe with Albert Finney, Water with Michael Caine and Leonard Rossiter, and The Final Passage directed by Sir Peter Hall.  More recently he was in the latest incarnation of
Charlie And The Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp.

His voice work includes commercials for
Malibu, the DTI, The Department of Health, the Metropolitan Police, Time Out (Israeli chocolate bar) and the Energy Saving Trust, promos for several BBC TV channels, various documentaries on LWT, and corporate recordings for British Gas.

Oscar is also a singer and has his own band, Soca Rhythms, and he loves creating instant calypsos on any subject you care to name!  He has also sung on stage as Rockman in Harry Nils
son's The Point (The Mermaid theatre) with Sir Bernard Miles and Wayne Sleep, and The Cowardly Lion in The Wiz (The Crucible, Sheffield).
