Kat Shoob
LONDON. Fun & flirty to smooth professional. Presented Big Top 40 Show, and now MAGIC FM.
Kat was born in Essex, raised in Shropshire, but is a Londoner at heart. She began as a concierge for a travel tour company, and then an assistant at a presenters' agency before giving presenting a whirl for herself.
She was a favourite of insomniacs while presenting live for ITV's late night The Mint show, and helped match-make singletons on ITV2's Playdate. She's also something of a geek's pinup following her hosting of Esport TV's daily computer game show The Hub.
Kat's done lots of radio presenting too - at London's Capital FM she co-hosted The Bam Bam Show weekday evenings, and she was a roving reporter for the Saturday afternoon Dave Berry Show, as well as for Entertainment Weekly chatting up such celebs as Tim Burton, Helena Bonham Carter and Tom Hanks (you can hear them in the clips below).
She's also presented for 10 years on the official Big Top 40 chart show (broadcasts live right across the UK on all the main radio networks, Heart, Galaxy, Hit Music, Real Radio etc..). During this timeshe also co-presented with Rich Clark on Capital's Rich & Kat Show (weekday evenings), featuring hit music, star-studded interviews and lots of juicy gossip!
More recently Kat moved across to MAGIC FM - having hosted Mellow Magic for a year, she can now be found hosting the Saturday & Sunday afternoon slots (1-5pm), giving away gig tickets and interacting with listeners. She is also the main deputy during the week and Magic Breakfast cover too.
Her VO work to date includes commercials for Unilever, Glee and St Trinians, and music ads for Adam Lambert, Lena, Daisy Dares You, Esme Denters, Ke$ha and The Saturdays. She's also recorded promos for Capital FM, A&E Lifetime, Travel Channel, MTV, Nickelodeon and Five, and corporate pieces for SpinVox. She's voiced continuity for PopGirl and Five, and is experienced in 'self-op' for continuity (with a working knowledge of Pharos). With all her live presenting experience she's very quick on her feet and very eager to further broaden her horizons!
