Martin has RP, London/Cockney, Welsh (native), Yorkshire, N. Irish, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, Lancs, Aussie, German, Canadian and Afrikaans accents - gracing all with a rich and lyrical timbre. He's even played and sung as John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Bruce Springsteen, Eddie Cochran, Humphrey Bogart and The Snowman!
On stage he's performed in various West End shows and tours. His credits include Families, The Importance of Being Ernest, Only The Lonely (The Piccadilly Theatre) and Be Bop A Lula (The Liverpool Playhouse).
Martin's film credits include Captain Correlli's Mandolin, Enemy At The Gates and Enigma, and on TV he's been in The Secret World of Michael Fry (Channel 4), Aristocrats (BBC), Sharpe's Waterloo, The Writing On The Wall, Families (Granada), Heartland, Heat of the Sun, The Bill, Unsuitable Job for a Woman, The Appraised Sgt. Smith, and Mark Thomas Comedy Product. Martin has also graced the screens with his pop band, The Mock Turtles, on Top Of The Pops (twice!), The Word, Live & Kicking and the Radio 1 Roadshow.
His voice work includes commercials for Lancô Gé, Land Rover, Legend (beer), CNBC, AnyVan.com, 118 800, Monster.co.uk, Johnnie Walker, Oberoi Hotels, The Guardian, UPS, AAP and the Metropolitan Police, promos for More 4, CNN, TCM, Discovery Channel, Hallmark, BBC Sports and BBC Three, and he's the continuity voice for TCM. His corporate clients include the CPS, Erickson, Toro (lawn mowers), British Gas, Adidas, FIFA, GNI, P&O Ferries, KPMG, Barclays, and JPMorgan Chase.
Martin's lip-synch / ADR experience is also extensive, having worked on films including 1ficent, Cars 2, Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Roland Joffe's There Be Dragons, Margaret, Klumpt, Spartacus, Dr Zhivago, Possession, Conspiracy and Count of Monte Cristo. His documentary pieces include several for Teachers Tv, narrating Man-Made Marvels and two series of The Unforgetables (the latter on famous comedians). He's also made a number of charity recordings including those for Animal Defenders International and the NSPCC.
