Leslie Ash
LONDON / RP. Bubbly Mumsy and sophistication, with perfect comedy timing - 'Men Behaving Badly', 'Holby City', 'Where The Heart Is'.
Leslie is a very capable artist with a wealth of experience across TV, film and stage. Originally haling from Clapham she's been working hard since childhood - starting with a Fairy Liquid commercial at four years old!
She's best known as Neil Morrissey's love interest Deborah in Men Behaving Badly (6 series), as well as Inspector Charlie Eden in Mersey Beat (BBC), and Karen Buckley in Where The Heart Is (ITV). More recently she was Vanessa Lytton in Holby City (BBC). Other shows include Judge John Deed, Bugs, Love Hurts, The Happy Apple and C.A.T.S. Eyes.
On the big screen she was the romantic lead, Steph, in Quadrphenia, Carol Landau in Shadey opposite Anthony Sher, and Juletta Shane (aka Julie Morgan) in Curse Of The Pink Panther.
Leslie's voice work includes commercials for clients including Hackett, Homebase, Shake 'n' Bake, Bodyform and Jackie Magazine (whom she modelled for in her teens). She's voiced a number of documentaries including one on plastic surgery following her own experiences - 'Leslie Ash: Face To Face' on ITV1, and more recently she narrated Sky 1's Emergency Abroad series.
Other voice experience includes radio drama for the dark comedy series Vent (BBC Radio 4) alongside Neil Pearson, Fiona Allen and Jose Lawrence, and a number of Doctor Who audiobooks. She's also recorded ADR / dubbing while working on Men Behaving Badly.
Outside of her thesping and voicing she's a writer, with titles including her biography My Life Behaving Badly, and she's currently writing her own sit-com. She's also dabbled in music, releasing her own single with Caroline Quentin, Tell Him, which reached 25 in the UK singles chart!
