Shaun Morton
AUSTRALIAN / RP. Marmite or Vegemite? Warm and authoritative, or coarse and characterful. A versatile voice straddling both sides of the equator.
Shaun was born in Australia before emigrating to the UK in 2004, where he trained at ArtsEd London.
Following graduation he toured the UK with a succession of No.1 Tours including End Of The Rainbow, performing alongside Tracey Bennett (gaining her Tony & Olivier award nominations). He next worked on Ladies In Lavender, starring Hayley Mills and Belinda Lang (winning five Broadway World Awards), before appearing alongside Tom Conti in Rough Justice (tour). Next up he was Hannay in The 39 Steps (West End), touring with David Essex in The Dishwashers, and then joining the cast of Dinosaur Zoo as Lead Host (UK tour, then West End, then the Udderbelly Festival in Hong Kong).
Other theatre credits include Romeo & Juliet (UK & French tours), Tosca (English National Opera), A Christmas Carol (UK tour), Twelth Night (Edinburgh Fringe), The Revengers Tragedy (Bridewell Theatre), and two years touring Australia with Brainstorm Productions.
On the big screen he's been in Shady Lady and A Dark Reflection, as well as in several shorts where he has appeared both in front and behind the camera, occasionally taking on the roles of writer and director.
His VO work is also pretty varied, including numerous in-game recordings at Rocksteady and Side UK, commercials for Zoek, RasGas, Goodyear, Fosters and Souvenaid, and corporate videos for BT, Armani, Jaguar, Verizon and HiSense. Additionally he's voiced e-learning for Sainsburys, AKTO and numerous medical companies, as well as IVR / on-hold messaging for Qantas, Reuters and Chubb Security. He also has audiobook and documentary narration experience.
Outside his thesping and voicing Shaun is a stand up comedian, so he's quick on his feet, and teaches voice and communication in drama schools like Urdang and The Actors Door Studio, as well as through his own company, The Working Voice. His new website can be found at shaunmortonvoiceovers.com
