Gabriel Clarke

RP. ITV football presenter & reporter - Champions League Weekly, World Cup, European Championships, The Big Fight Live.

Gabriel is the senior reporter on ITV's football output.  He presents features for Champions League Weekly and the football league highlights show The Championship.  He is also the touchline reporter at all live Champions League matches as well as conducting the half and full time interviews.  In 2001, 2002 and 2005 he received the Best Sports News Reporter Award at the Royal Television Society Sports Awards.

After graduating, Gabriel worked on local newspapers and in local radio as well as satellite television for five years before joining ITV in 1991.  He presented LWT's Sunday Match and hosted the weekly Nationwide Football Extra programmes.

Gabriel has presented features for On The Ball and The Premiership on topics as wide ranging as the Marseilles Bribery Scandal, the Ajax Academy of Excellence and the Milan Revolution under Silvio Berlusconi.  Gabriel has been a main reporter on the World Cup Finals in 1994, 1998, 2002 and 2006, and the European Championships in 1996, 2000 and 2004.

Gabriel was a regular presenter of Channel 4's The Cricket Show in 2004.  In March 2005 he wrote and produced The Blues: The Story of the 2005 University Boat Race, a documentary to herald ITV's coverage of the Boat Race as well as reporting on the race itself.  Adding further to his portfolio of sports, Gabriel was a ringside interviewer at the Amir Khan vs. Mario Kindelan rematch on ITV1 in May 2005, and is now the regular reporter on The Big Fight Live. The Big Fight Live - Khan v Kindelan won the Best Sports Feature Award at the 2005 RTS Sports Awards.  In October 2005 Gabriel narrated the Channel 4 documentary series How Sport Shook Up The World.
