AUSTRALIAN. Actor from Down Under!

A graduate of Australia' National Institute of Dramatic Art, and has since become a highly seasoned pro on stage, having performed for the State Theatre Company of South Australian, and later with the Royal Shakespeare Company.

His RSC credits include UK and North American tours of Nicholas Nickelby and The Taming Of The Shrew (opposite Josie Lawrence), as well as the Peter Hall production of All's Well That Ends Well.  He's also performed with The National Theatre Company, most notably playing Giles in Alan Aybourn's House And Garden. 

Other West End productions include playing Billy Flynn in Chicago, and Oberon in A Midsummer Nights Dream with Dawn French.  On Broadway Michael appeared as Gratiano with Dustin Hoffman as Shylock in Peter Halls production of The Merchant of Venice, and more recently he was Captain Von Trapp in the revival of The Sound of Music.

His film and television credits include Sherlock Holmes, Jeeves And Wooster, John Mortimer's Under The Hammer , The Grand, Silent Witness, The Beast, Victoria And Albert and A&E.
